As an experienced spindle manufacturer, we have been working closely with machine tool builders for decades. We offer a wide range of standardized spindle units. In addition, we develop customized solutions or special designs such as machine spindles in quill design, pick-up spindles for friction stir welding or intermediate bearing blocks for test bench applications.

Our machine tool spindles are used as tapping spindles, milling spindles, main spindles or grinding spindles as well as in demanding drilling, milling, sawing or tapping operations.
Our spindles are also used in non-cutting processes, such as friction stir welding (FSW). The applications here include what is known as Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding (RFSSW) or Friction Stir Spot Welding (FSSW). Manufacturers of test benches use our expertise in designing and manufacturing spindles for their test bench applications.
We integrate tool clamping systems according to customer specifications. Each tool spindle is available with standardized tool interfaces (eg SK, HSK, ABS). Our spindles are also suitable for toolchanger systems and are also used in multi-spindle applications.
HELLMERICH spindles are equipped with precision spindle bearings and are available for the use of coolant, minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) or dry machining. The bearing lubrication can be done either as "for-life" grease lubrication or as oil minimum quanitity lubrication.
